Re: National Debts

While editing the resolution, I added/expanded upon that section in because it is incredibly important to create an organization. The IMF is not so far reaching as this new committee. One must apply to be a member and after consideration, they are either elected or not elected. Venezuela, for exampl...

Re: National Debts

Thanks for posting that, Eric. I was just going to do it. Anyways, the new version on 6-1 is more efficient, solid and effective than the previous one and is open to more suggestions. I think that the resolution gives some good recommedations and suggestions to countries and attacks the core problem...

Re: National Debts

Austria has the 23rd highest national debt (on basis of GDP) having a debt of about 68.20% of the GDP of Austria. That is about $220,354,200,000 that Austria owes in debt. Like many of have said before, the issue of having a great debt which some countries cannot afford is only detrimental to the ec...

Re: Child Education

Here is the edited/revised version of it: Resolution 5-2: Sponsors: Canada, United Kingdom, Austria, South Africa, Argentina Signatories: Saudi Arabia, Finland, Honduras, Australia Recognizing that child educat...

Re: Child Education

Because I was trying to do it like a formal debate amendment? Just because this is online doesn't mean that rules are out the window so I like using proper parliamentary procedure both in meetings and on the forums as much as I can. But I did write in parentheses the purpose of the amendment so if y...

Re: Child Education

Canada and USA, talk to each other about this. I mean, your countries are litteraly right next to each other, how can you avoid this for so long. Lets not forget this is MODEL UN so geography really isn't a factor. We are all together in school, not in different countries. But I agree that sponsors...

Re: Child Education

Justin, as I have said before, I am in favor of combining the resolutions. But I am still awaiting confirmation by the sponsors. If they reply ay or nay, we can move on. Countries need to work together and I think combining these two resolutions would be a good example. I have no idea what that mean...

Re: Child Education

We are not having a "flame war." I am just requesting some statistics to prove what Shree said. Since this is part of an amendment, i think both speakers should have a chance to speak just like in debate. However, we should give equal respect to the amendment given by Justin and debate it.

Re: Child Education

Shree: Are there any specific statistics, studies or statements from expert economists that actually state that the micro-credits are proven to work in such states. If there are, then i think we would like to see them.

Re: Child Education

Justin, answering your question, the word 'institutions' is in the terms of an educational institution. Not the country. Secondly, i think the sponsors of both resolutions can talk about combining the resolution. We still have to hear about France's one. (Sorry Ben, no sponsors have answered back ye...
