Re: Airline Regulation
The various charges that airlines are now levying on passengers for luggage and other "extras" are getting ridiculous. I suppose I can see the advantage of encourage people to travel light or go "no frills", but it was a lot simpler when there was a flat fee for purchasing a tick...

Re: Animal Testing
Because six families say they are coming doesn't mean 12 parents are coming. I bet the number would be closer to 6 than 12 due to one parent begging off due to other commitments. Even if we had 12, that would be a rather pathetic turnout considering there are 25-30 members of the organization. Throw...

Re: Animal Testing
Considering that we only got four RSVPs from parents, the advisers have decided to cancel the night debate.

Clarification: your families (not just your parents) are invited AND they aren't just there to watch. We are hoping that they'll participate in the debate!

No, it's 4 minutes (first) and 3 minutes (second). General debate is two minutes.

The meeting on December 16 will be in room 212 instead of 302. We've been booted by the Assistant Superintendent because her needs are more critical than ours. All hail.

Zobele not Zobeli.
If you can't get anyone to argue con, I wonder how the debate is going to go. However, I would be happy to step in if no one else wants it.
George's edit: I had it right the first time, the log indicates the other Admin changed it. And I got Aman to do con.

Amendments are allowed up to a few days before the debate.
For future reference, UN legislation is referred to as a resolution, not a bill.

Re: Media Oversight
Thanks, Josh. Although it shouldn't have happened, it's good to see people taking responsibility for when they mess up. Let's all try to stay on top of things from this point on. Officers -- shall we get the next couple of briefs on line and threads started? Say through the end of the calendar year?

Unfortunately due to a lack of a brief and no legislation, this debate is canceled. See you in December 2 for the Endangered Species work session, assuming a brief gets posted.

You expect us to read the entire brief, George? C'mon, we're just mere mortals.

Re: Historic Debate- Cuban Missile Crisis
George was supposed to jump right on this thread at 9 pm, but evidently he had some math homework too. Assignments will be posted today (Thursday). It is vital that everyone who signed up (a) research their country's position as of October 1962, and (b) show up on time to the meeting and stay until ...
